Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Dear Friends,

We hope you will join the "Making Smiles" team for this year's upcoming Making Strides against Breast Cancer Walk in October. In 2007, our team raised $12,000. Call the office and we'll make sure to reserve a spot for you on the buses. If you can't walk with us, please donate generously. You can call Kimberly Nawoichik here are the office. We typically have as many as 60 or more people join us and it is a great time. You'll get a lunch snack and our gratitude. And don't forget to obtain as many pledges as you can.

This will run in conjunction with our annual Buck-A-Brush campaign where you can receive a toothbrush for a $1 donation at the office. Our Buck-A-Brush efforts here in the office raised over $1,000 and the staff's 75 bracelets another $900. What a fantastic team!

In 1993, the Massachusetts Division of the American Cancer Society founded Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. In their first year 5,000 participants helped to raise $660,000 in the Boston Metropolitan market. Since its inception, MSABC has grown steadily throughout the country to many metropolitan areas. This past year, MSABC was held in 37 sites from coast-to-coast, with more than 200,000 participants raising nearly $19 million for breast cancer. The Boston Metropolitan market alone saw 35,000 participants raise over $3 million. The American Cancer Society is proud of the fact that MSABC is the #1 breast fundraising program in the United States.

Sincerely,

Albert Pizzi
